One of the calmer and more collected songs on the album, Ian Curtis again preforms a devastating vocal performance by barely raising his voice above a whisper. Peter Hook’s bassline sets the oddly mournful yet upbeat groove, Stephen Morris adds his rapid and rhythmic percussion, and it’s topped off with a beauty of Bernard Sumner’s wailing guitar.

To me, this is one of Ian’s most honest words. He deeply is sorry for the pain he caused and is tormented by the pain he has.

In 2003, after Cash passed away, three local, visual artists came together to pay tribute to the man. Bryan Deese, Audie Adams and Ryan Shrader carefully scouted out a location close to the honky tonk bars and The Country Music Hall of Fame and obtained permission to create a sprawling work of art dedicated to the memory of JC. It’s stunning. Go check if you’re near. #JohnnyCash
